SULFEX™ is an innovative low-temperature, low-pressure process designed for deep sulphur removal from light distillates such as naphtha, kerosene, diesel, and gasoline. The technology reduces sulphur levels to below 10 ppm without significantly affecting key fuel properties.
Unlike conventional hydro-desulfurization, SULFEX™ uses hydrogen peroxide instead of hydrogen, enabling safer operation and eliminating the need for high-pressure hydrogen systems.
Developed and patented by AET Corporation (Reno, Nevada, USA), Pyramid E&C collaborates globally with AET for design and build services. The technology has been extensively validated in laboratory conditions and successfully commercialized with a 1000 BPD unit installed in Richmond, Virginia.
