Driving the Transition to Cleaner Energy

Across the world, governments are moving away from traditional liquid fuels, such as diesel, gasoline, and fuel oil towards natural gas to reduce emissions and improve air quality. While pipelines remain the most efficient means of transporting natural gas, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) serves as the most practical alternative where pipeline connectivity is unavailable.

Introducing Sphinx – Micro LNG Solutions

Pyramid E&C Group has developed

Micro LNG

units branded as µLNG® (pronounced “Mew-LNG”). These compact, modular units liquefy natural gas directly from pipelines, allowing safe and efficient transportation by LNG tankers to retail outlets and remote locations. Efficient Distribution: One LNG tanker replaces up to sixteen CNG cascade trucks, significantly reducing transportation costs, operational risks, road congestion, and emissions. Reliable Supply: A single LNG tanker provides several days of uninterrupted supply to retail stations and industrial users. Higher Energy Density: LNG delivers three times the energy density of CNG, enabling vehicles to travel up to three times farther on a single fill. As more heavy vehicles transition from diesel to LNG, LNG retail outlets are rapidly expanding, making µLNG® an ideal solution for localized supply and distribution.

BENEFITS

Flexible Operation: Can produce LNG locally where pipelines are available, or Transport LNG from the nearest gas grid to the point of use.

Regulatory Compliance: Designed in accordance with PESO, PNGRB, API, and ASME standards, ensuring safety and reliability in oilfield and refinery environments.

Enhanced Capability: With an optional pre-treatment system, µLNG® units can convert stranded or flared natural gas into LNG, enabling gas recovery and monetization.

Comprehensive O&M Support: Sphinx provides a complete operations and maintenance package, including power consumption, to guarantee maximum efficiency, uptime, and profitability.
