STABILISATION & H²S REMOVAL

In order to meet the RVP or H²S crude sales specification, crude oil is often processed in a Crude Stabilisation and Sweetening Unit. The selection of the right process for stabilization and sweetening is a critical aspect of overall plant design. The economic goal is to maximize recovery of stock tank oil while meeting vapor pressure and H²S specifications.

Design

There are various technologies available for Crude Oil Stabilisation and Sweetening which include a column with a reboiler, nitrogen stripping or fuel gas stripping and multi-stage flash drums. Sometimes a combination of two technologies can also offer the optimum solution.

Our design of Crude Stabilization Column will come with Rectangular Floating Valve Tray. These trays are widely used and most reliable for Crude Stabilisation operation.

Critical Parameter required for Crude Stabilisation and Sweetening Unit are as follows.

  • Oil Flow Rate
  • Inlet Temperature and Pressure
  • BS&W of Inlet Crude
  • Density
  • Viscosity
  • Availability of sweet gas or nitrogen
  • Outlet specification

The type of Crude Stabilisation & Sweetening System which is included with our Processing Facility design is based on the following systems, sometimes in combination:

  • Stabilisation Column with Reboiler
  • Nitrogen Stripping
  • Sweet Gas Stripping
  • Indirect Fired Crude Heating
  • Multi-Stage Flash Drums
