Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is typically a mixture of propane and butane which is fractionated from gas condensate recovery plants. LPG is usually stored and transported as a liquid under moderate pressure. As LPG will vaporize at atmospheric conditions, and it is heavier than air, it has the potential to create a flammable vapor cloud. Therefore, proper safety systems must be designed for LPG Storage and Loading.

A typical LPG Loading System consists of storage bullets, loading pumps, and loading racks with mass flow meters and batch controllers. Loading arms or flexible hoses can be used. A vent line equalizes the pressure between the truck and the storage bullets and also displaces truck vapors to the bullets. A weigh station is also provided for fiscal accounting.


LPG Storage Bullets are designed as per International Codes and Standards for design and safety.

LPG Handling Systems are provided with standard safety accessories like emergency break-away couplings on the loading arms, grounding connections, fire and gas system, and emergency cut-off valves.
